In 2022 we will explore several Artists’ Trails along which many famous Australian Impressionist (and European artists who influenced them) were known to have painted. There are three trails we will explore which mark specific locations where famous paintings where completed en plein air, or at least depicted by artists such as Arthur Streeton, Clara Southern, Tom Roberts, Walter Withers and Charles Conder to name a few.

The paint-out information below shows some examples of such paintings. These Artists’ Trails will take us to the Mornington Peninsular and the ‘City of Whitehorse’ while another explores the ‘Heidelberg Artists’ Trail’. We will adhere to public health restrictions associated with the pandemic at the time of our paint-out so please be aware of any changes to our individual responsibilities. If there is a suitable venue close by we might start with a drink and a light lunch before 1pm.

Bring all you need to paint en plein air and join us painting along these iconic trails enjoying the artistic camaraderie, just as those before us did. The time of our paint-outs will remain the same throughout the year (1pm – 5pm) and you will notice each paint-out is on a Sunday.

Paint-outs are free and open to all creative people who want to paint with others en plein air.
