Moods of the Yarra Valley

This exhibition s a collection of paintings I have painted as a response to the place I live. As a professional artist and landscape painter I see the changing moods of this sublime valley everyday – from silver frosts to golden sunsets, and from lush green spring land to the dry straw colours of summer. They all mesmerize and beckon me to paint them.

I find painting en plein air grounds and centers me in my life, helping me to be physically present to the world around me and enabling me to share with others how I feel about the places I visit and live.

The beauty… the patterns of light and shade… the ‘feel’ of a place…that’s what I aim to capture in my paintings…”
